What does the implant treatment involve ?

  1. The Dentist will examine your mouth, and take x-rays of your head, jaw and teeth to determine if dental implants are necessary for you.
  2. You are put under local anesthesia, and the implant is inserted into your mouth. A temporary restoration may be places on the implant during the healing stage.
  3. On average, the healing stage lasts 6 weeks to a few months, depending on the particular patient situation.
  4. An impression is taken to produce the crown, bridge or denture necessary.
  5. After the dental implant is healed, the bridge, crown or dentures are inserted.
  6. Dental Implants require regular check-ups and good oral hygiene similar to that of natural teeth.
